What do you cover in your inspection?
Basically, all readily accessible areas of the home, from the foundation to the roof, inside and out, are carefully examined, major components and building materials identified, and reported about their present condition and operation at the time of inspection. All the mechanicals (i.e. Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, etc.) are carefully examined for proper installation and safe operation. For more info, click here.
Do you issue a written report with your inspection?
Yes. A full comprehensive report on the inspection findings as well as a summary / overview. Our reports are generated via a computer in a narrative style along with photos and can be sent to you electronically (provided you have an email address) or by regular mail. How much do you charge for an inspection?
Our fees are based on the finished square footage of the property with small homes typically running around $275, while medium size homes run around $300, and larger homes for $350.00 For more details, click here.
Do you accept Credit Cards?
Sorry, we do not (only cash or checks).
Are you Insured?
Yes, we carry general liability insurance for your protection (as well as ours). Certificates are available upon request.
How soon can you do an inspection?
Usually we can schedule an inspection for you within one to two business days (Note to home buyers: you typically have ten days from the time you sign a buy/sell agreement to have your inspections completed).
Do We / I have to be there for the inspection?
Home Analysts (HA) strongly encourages all our clients to attend the inspection to be better informed as to the current condition of the home they are either buying, selling, or just maintaining. It’s a great learning experience.

HA is fully accredited, certified, and experienced in residential building construction and property inspections. Do you check for mold?
This is a good question and we try to put it in perspective for all our clients. Although we do not have the expertise specifically to identify or evaluate certain environmental and health hazards such as mold/mildew/fungus, we do alert you to the fact that it may be present (and in our professional opinion if further investigation is needed by a qualified specialist).
